Eating Out in London: Sushi Samba
/They offer delicious cocktail in keeping with their fusion menu like the Smoked Plum Negroni made with Hibiki Japanese Whiskey and umeshu.
The interior is pure eye candy with dripping, modern glass chandeliers and a curved day-glo orange staircase. Outside on the patio (offering an expansive but not-so-impressive east-facing view) is another bar with a faux tree adorned with orange fairy lights.
And, of course, no visit to Sushi Samba would be possible without a terrifying trip up the glass elevator!
This Japanes-Brazilian restaurant is definitely on the beaten path. High on the 42nd floor of the Heron Tower in "The City" it's a popular happy hour spot for the local bankers and financial workers. If you happen to find yourself near Liverpool Street Station, I would highly recommend popping in for a drink. Go early for happy hour and you can usually snag yourself a seat at one of the few tables right against the floor to ceiling windows that offer one of the most stunning views of London I was ever lucky enough to see!
